Fright Night Movie event set for Oct. 17
October 13 2025AUBURN, Ala.- The City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the return of its annual Fright Night Movie event, a free community celebration taking place on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Lake Wilmore Park Athletic Fields (2101 Grove Hill Road).
This family-friendly event begins at 6:45 p.m. and features a double feature under the stars. The evening kicks off with the animated favorite "The Book of Life" (PG), followed by the thriller "Joy Ride" (R) at 8:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating.
In addition to the movies, attendees can enjoy complimentary food and giveaways throughout the night. The event is free and open to the public. For safety and comfort, pets are not permitted.
Fright Night is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of inclement weather, all activities will be moved indoors to the Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center gymnasium.
